Since writing the above, I have been informed

by a competent authority that neither the "Rover" nor the

"Cubitt" car mentioned in the Secretary of State's Circular

despatch of the 28th January, 1922 is sufficiently high

powered to render satisfactory service on the gradients

ruling in this Colony. My informant further stated that

the "Austin" appears to be all things considered

the

most satisfactory British car for the requirements of this

Colony.
